The "We" & "Us" in Mod Posters is me. I am Jennifer Perrin and I cannot tell you how passionate I am about cars, color and all things design and code. I am not sure why I went with "We" & "Us"
for Mod Posters. I think it just sounded better than a single "Me". Though there is more than just a single person behind Mod Posters.
There is of course my family, who puts up with my passions every day. My husband that gives me feedback on my designs and helps with framing and shipping. There are the printers that make the designs
I create with my customers help come to life just to name a few. So there is definitely more than just "Me".
I have been passionate about cars beginning from my early teenage years, back when I bought my first car, a very used and abused 1979 Chevy Camaro. It was what was commonly referred to as a "Plane Jane" F-body, with a 350 CI V8, an automatic trans and Posi traction. I rebuilt that engine from the top up, what I called my "Edelbrock" special. That was it, I was hooked. I loved my Camaro and did most of the work myself with help from friends learning everything I could along the way.
I currently work full time as a Web Developer contractor for "The Man". Graphic design and web coding is another one of my passions that I find myself spending a lot of my free time doing when I am not out at car meets, cars & coffee events or spending time with my family.
One of my favorite things to do it to get out there and meet new people and see all of the beautiful cars others are just as passionate about as I am. I have driven to Kentucky, New York, and Georgia to name a few places. Most weekends I can found at local area Cars & Coffee and car shows. I currently own a modified 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 that I have spent quite a bit of time making uniquely my own.
I love the whole process of designing, developing, and coding a project to completion. To me it is so much more than a job or a project. I have been working in the industry for more than 20 years now. I have worked on both big and small projects, including graphic design for print & web, small informational type web sites to large full ecommerce sites.
Mod Posters came to be due to a need I personally had. I needed/wanted a way to show and detail all of the work that has been completed on my Stinger, so I started researching options. I found lots of pictures of cars at shows/events with homemade "Show Boards" listing off the car's specs. Looking at the pictures, I thought I could do one myself and design it to look almost as awesome as I feel my car is.
I get lots of attention with my Mod Poster board that others have wanted something along the same lines for their car. What started out as an idea to a single framed poster has turned into a small passion named Mod Posters.
Mod Posters for me is pure enjoyment. I get to combine my love of cars with my passion for graphic design. All of my designs are created from scratch with ideas I get for each unique car and I take great pride in each Mod Poster I create for my customers. I want each one to be perfect, something I personally would display and I want not just my customer to love it, but everyone that sees it displayed to love it too.
So please, if you have any questions reach out to me. Want to know more about the proccess? Take a look at "The Process" page. Have other questions? I have a Frequently Asked Questions section that may just help. I want to help in anyway I can, weather it is through a Mod Poster, info on my car and the mods I have, or anything related to cars, color, design and code. :)
